Nigeria 2-2 South Korea

The Line-Ups:

Nigeria: 1-Vincent Enyeama; 17-Chidi Odiah, 6-Danny Shittu, 2-Joseph Yobo, 5-Rabiu Afolabi, 12-Kalu Uche, 20-Dickson Etuhu, 13-Yusuf Ayila, 8-Yakubu Aiyegbeni, 19-Chinedu Obasi, 4-Nwankwo Kanu.

We are not even in the first minute and South Korea has the very first chance of the match thought a close shot by Lee Chung Yong that got injured after clashing involuntarily against Nigerian goalkeeper Enyeama.

Is this an injury match? Now it was Shitu that injured himself alone. He headed the ball towards Enyeama and when standing up he falls maybe due to messed up articulations, but still he keeps playing.

12 minutes and the number 12 of Nigeria, Uche scores a goal after performing a stunning anticipation move after a crossing from Chidi Odiah on the wing. 1-0 to the Eagles and with this result they just need Argentina to win against Greece and they will be through.

Set Piece from South Korea from the left wing and on the far post Lee Jung-Soo taps in from close range and levels the match. 1-1.

We are into 49 minutes and South Korea scores through a perfect free kick, the first of its kind on this World Cup and the magician was Park Chu-young striking from the edge of the box.

Nigeria by the 68th minute has the chance to score through the penalty spot…And they done it, Yakubu convert the penalty to bring the game leveled and who knows what’s next!!

Nigeria had it all but the goal conceded from the free-kick knocked out the Africans. So it will be Uruguay-South Korea in the second round.
