Paraguay is unlikely to miss out on the second phase of this tournament and they are playing a fantastic football. They done it against Italy and they have done it again versus Slovakia.

South Americans look the hot property of this World Cup. They are simply on fire without any defeat in this competition. Can Mexico defeat Uruguay? On the cards surely no, but then this World Cup has been made of surprises.

When you play with a front line that has Santa Cruz, Valdez and Barrios you surely will expect goals and that is what happened. Forwards do not just score goals but they help in terms of positioning to open spaces so that other individuals can make the team work as a whole. Paraguay has been doing it clearly and effectively so far and bear in mind that they face world champion’s Italy and then probably a more accessible Slovakia but this means they have a very high rate when it comes down to adaptability which can prove to be the X-Factor to Paraguay create a surprise in this competition.

Paraguay kept attacking and from that was able to find the net for two times with goals from Veras and Riveros but could have scored more with Slovakia having just a clear shot on goal.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Veras
