This is the Group B of the World Cup and starting in a fashionable way…7 minutes elapsed and there you go, taking advantage of the poor marking in a dead-ball situation from Greece Jung-Soo Lee scores just with a tap-in from close range.

13 minutes and the lucky number favored Greece. South Korea’s attacking from the wing and exposing the once strong defensive line of the Greeks crossing the ball from the left but without effective results.

27 minutes and still we only see South Korea playing amazingly wasting a one-on-one situation against the keeper this time through Park Chu-young.

2-0 and South Korea scores again. From 27 minutes we advance to the 52th minute to see a stunner from Ji-Sung Park striking the ball into the corner even when he had the opposition of two defenders.

20 minutes to go and the South Koreans look tired and Greece is coming forward, but still they do not capitalize from the chances they create, so the game in more likely finish with the win of South Korea.

They look for the stats if you want to understand how most matches are played because sometimes a lot of possession, most shots, corners and other stats lead you to a wrong perspective. Take a look at this match – South Korea had 11 shots on goal and 6 corners against 6 shots on goal and 11 corners from Greece and still managed to play an almost flawless game winning 2-0.

As stated on our report on the Sports Zone Show about the group stages of this World Cup the fight for the second spot it is up for grabs between South Korea and Nigeria.
